Kenwood KSC-SW1 install pictures
Realizing I know nothing about car stereos and almost nothing about cars this took me about 10 hours. It took me as long to take out and re-install the passenger seat as it did to put in the sub. Called Kenwood once for advice and talked to a real person who was helpful.
This little speaker will not exactly set off any car alarms but it does fill the lower frequency ranges very nicely for my taste. No booming bass but enough for the small cabin. My passenger seat has what seems to be an extra rail set or seat elevator rail that makes it a little higher. Not sure if all cars came this way or not. Without the second set of rails it rubbed badly. With the second set of rails when the seat is moved all the way forward or backward there is a very slight rub on the top of the speaker grill. Barely noticeable moving the seat and does not appear to be damaging the speaker at all. For any curious at any appreciable volume there is definitely a noticeable vibration to the seat. Wife happily confirmed . Since I primarily drive the car alone I was not too concerned. These are pics of the final install. I just folded the carpet in the back so it could remain but not sit over the speaker. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice job. How did you secure the sub to the floor?
