Ahhh...no it's not mine - I am on a different continent. If it was mine and I was giving it a plug I would have said so too.

Is it a conversion? I would have thought the decals on the engine etc. indicated it was the real deal but...

I would like a set of those wheels though!

Woodsport, I think that was a bit uncalled for, even though it could be perceived that PK010 was secretly advertising his own car for sale, a snide comment such as yours shouldn't be the first thing to be said. But seriously, not many people would be silly enough to post a "fake" ruf conversion on PELICAN PARTS BBS.

They are some nice wheels, wouldn't suit my older 911 though

Doesn't look fake to me, it's a BTR conversion.

Its a legit BTR conversion - the owner posts on Rennlist frequently - we just solved his case of the mysteryous fan switch on the lower dash.

He's a good guy - hate to see him selling though.

The last time I was in Miami, a couple of years ago, I saw a BTR just like this ripping through the Miami Beach area at a high rate of speed. The run was cut short by the local police. As there can't be many black BTRs running around that area, I wonder if it was the same car?

Any idea where the conversion was done?

OT, but wouldnt it be interesting if cars carried around their legal history like we do...you know, how many tickets, etc it was involved in...

Did anybody notice the speakers in rear?
Looks like a clever way to get bass in your 911 without ruining the interior.

Nice car!

Sorry - I didn't mean that the way it sounded - I get that a lot around here. I was simply quoting the eBay description. The car is definitely real. I'll shut up now.

There was nothing wrong with your post, I think some people misinterpreted it.

Because it has a Ruf 5 speed gearbox in it.

Sorry woodsport, now that I've read your post over it wasn't a cheap shot at all, but I think you can see how initially it was thought to be an accusation. Although, it actually was a compliment, my apologies again, maybe paraphrase next time
