Euro 911SC Factory Exhaust System

Does anyone have a parts diagram for a Euro '81 setup? My car has a cat, can I assume that this was installed when the car was federalized? Would the heat exchangers have been changed as well? The muffler? Thanks.

No parts diagram to show but I have a Euro Spec 81.

Are you sure you have a cat or is it a premuffler?

No, the exchangers and/or the muffler would not have been changed to meet the federalization specs. Obviously, someone could have changed them out for headers or an aftermarket muffler once the car was imported.

Its definitely a cat, complete w/ heat shield. The heat exchangers do look original, they're thin flange units...

Most likely it was installed for the regulations.

That would have been the only exhaust change made or at least what was required.

Toss it and install a premuffler or a bypass pipe and make your a bit louder. IF you don't have state inspections in yor area this can be done very easily.

HP increases may or may not be a result.

I was thinking about a pre-muffler (Dansk), and maybe even going with SS heat exchangers and muffler. Don't think I want to go to the extent of backdating the entire system...

You'll find my setup in that thread but here are the details.

Stock exchangers, Euro Premuffler, and a Flo-Pro 1in/2out muffler with one side capped.

Deep rumble at idle, great snarls between gears, and it scareamms at WOT.
