does anyone know of a good rebuild shop in LA.

I bought a refurb'd alternator from a shop called Eagle Electric in Northridge. People seem to have more good than bad to say about them, but yes you'll find both opinions. Mine's been good for two years so far.

funny u should mention eagle. thats where i ended up. alternator, good.
but it took me 2 trips. it seems that the previous owner of my rebuilt unit used a hammer on the ends of the studs in order to remove it in its former life. but in doing so he smashed the studs and the threads. long story short, u cant thread the gdamn screws. but in the end the thing works.
