Anyone remove a factory alarm?
 

I have a 1991 964 turbo. I want to remove the factory alarm. Does anyone know anything about doing this?

Well, I know a little.

A mechanic removed mine, 86 911. The alarm connects into the wiring harness with a connector located near the wiper motor.

This can simply be unplugged but then the engine won't start. Two jumpers must be added. One for the fuel pump and one for ignition (i think) check the wiring schematic.

The rest of the alarm stuff can just be pulled out.

Thanks buddy! Mine has a stand alone DFI setup and aftermarket fuel system. Sounds like I wont have much to do then!

What did you do for the door locks? Mine wont even lock unless the battery is hooked up. I thought this was integrated into the alarm.
