Does this valve cover look right to you?

This is a shot of the driver's side lower valve cover. Note the opening toward the end nearer the front of the car. Am I seeing an unused plug from my twin plug setup? Is this OK to be exposed? Should there be some sort of cover over this?

Sure looks like a spark plug to me. How many plug wires do you have on the top-side of your motor?

I'm just using 6 plugs now because I just have 1 x 6 plug diz. So I'm pretty sure that's one of the unused 6 plugs.

The thing is--is it OK that I have that opening there?

To be safe, I would bend the sheet metal back into place to keep large debris and quantities of oil or grease out of there.

What RWebb said. I would think that would be the best thing to do.
