Recaros in 09 911
 Has anyone installed Recaro race seats in a new 911? What must be done to circumvent the Seat Air Bag warning system? The air bag warning light is now on. Thanks in advance for your help. Len

You need to have a dealer turn it off with their computer. If they are willing, you will likely have to sign a waiver so that they won't be liable for your injuries in the event of a crash w/o seat-mounted airbags.

Couldn't you install a resistor in place of the airbag to fool the computer? I know it can be done in my Audi with seat airbags, and I assume it would be a similar setup. I haven't done it, so sorry I cannot offer more advice. Have you asked on Rennlist or 6speedonline? They seem to have higher traffic for newer 911s.
