Cabrio Wind Difuser

A while back someone posted info on a wind difuser for the '83 - '89 cabrio that was manufactured in England. I am interested in possibly purchasing one. Unfortunately I didn't write down the info; can anyone help?

have a look at this option. this is off a german 911 site, some of the guys are manufacturing these themselves. i like the idea because it looks simpler than the original screen.

If it was, I suggest he keeps looking...

I ordered a wind deflector from Classic Addtions a couple of months ago.

First problem: no mounting brackets.

Second problem: "storage bag" which cost quite a bit extra is literally twice the size it needs to be.

Third problem: despite paying Classic Additions an arm and a leg for shipping, I subsequently received an invoice from UPS for import duty. Classic Additions mentioned nothing of this.

In email exchanges Classic Additions first claimed that customs must have removed the missing brackets.

Sounded fishy so I inspected the box and even asked UPS to check their records (at the same time I was asking them why I was being billed by them when I had already paid shipping - they said Classic Additions chose that option): there was no indication that the package had been opened for inspection or had anything removed.

Classic Additions then said they would source the brackets.

On further follow up, they said they could not get more brackets because the deflector was no longer available but I could return the deflector. Great, then I would be out of pocket another bundle and back to square one.

Said deflector is currently waiting downstairs for me to take it over to John Walker's and see if he can fab me a pair of brackets so I can mount it. (Yet more $$$)

I would NOT deal with Classic Additions again.
