Advice to replace broken headlight washer sprayer

I have a '78 911 SC with a broken headlight washer nozzle. I have purchased a new (used) one and need some advice in replacing it.

My question is, what is the easiest way to access the nozzle to replace the metal clip from underside of bumper? I can probably pull the old metal clip off through the gap in front of turn signal after removing the lense but there does not appear to be enough room to replace the clip on the new one.

Looking for the easiest route in and what has to be removed to get there. Thanks.
