Rafal,

My 2.4 makes 190 hp DIN (181 hp SAE net) at 6500 rpm, and 22 m-kg (156 lb-ft SAE) at 5200 rpm.

The USA '83 Targa is an SC, and makes 180 hp DIN (172 hp SAE net) at 5500 rpm, and 27 m-kg (189 lb-ft SAE) at 4200 rpm.

Rafal,

No, I really don't think there are any inexpenive mods to be done, though if your state doesn't require visual or sniffing smog tests, a set of used early '65-'74 heat exchangers and muffler would yield about 20-25 hp.

The Porsche 911 Performance Handbook, by Bruce Anderson has the most information available anywhere about the history of 911 engines, rebulds, and modifications that can be done!

For an '83, somewhere in the 6.5 to 7 second vicinity.
