Targa top latch problem
Porsche began using roller latches in 1986 in the Targas. I am finding these latches have some play in the operation or the stop is broken off. Latch should be checked closely and if problem is found, replaced. This can and has lead to top fly offs. These tops and the parts are very pricey if the frame breaks. Contact me with questions.

I have an 80 SC Targa. Haven't had the top on much and have never driven with it on. (I haven't been out in the rain).
I have noticed that my passenger side latch is tight but the drivers side the PO has a piece of wire to hold the handle in the locked position. I haven't had time to investigate this but I know it is a problem. What is the fix? Thanks,
