Clearly there's something's not right here - tire/alignment issue
 

Noticed a front end shimmy above 70mph. Caught this after pulling into a parking space yesterday...

Tread on inside of right front tire is almost gone. Left front tire not as worn as right front tire, but there is definitely more wear on inside of left front than on outside of left front as well.

Question(s):
Car needs to be re-aligned. Appointment made after new rubber is mounted (Bridgestone RE050A Poles).

Other possible things to look at?

Nothing a good alignment won't cure, IMO.

To your question about other problems:


How about your tie rods/ball joints?

Have they been replaced or are they factory?

If factory, now is the perfect time to install new ones as you'll have to have an alignment done anyway.

How old is this car? My 1973 911 had a front-end shimmy around 75-80 which was cured by changing the front A-arms. These days, the front suspension bushings can be replaced with a number of options without swapping A-arms. Swap the tires and get an alignment. If the shimy continues, look at the suspension components.

Looks pretty obvious that your camber on the passengers' side might be excessive (negative, that is). Toe problems cause scuffing and premature wear evenly across the tread... unless the wheel has a lot of camber.

The wear on the tread alone might cause some of your shimmy problems. If the tread isn't coming off evenly it will throw your balance off and you will feel it thru the steering wheel at speed.
When it's getting it's alignment I'm sure the mechanic will note if anything seems loose (wheel bearing, ball joints,etc...)
