Odd vibration through shift knob (930)

I'm beginning to feel an odd vibration when my (4 spd) transmission is in 3rd or 4th gear. 1st, 2nd and Reverse are fine.

If I shift to either 3rd or 4th, and push the shifter all the way into gear, I am feeling a vibration that can be described something is bumping up against the edge of gear teeth very slightly and catching an edge.

If I move the shifter about 1" back towards neutral, the vibration goes away.

Is this something that can be adjusted via the shift linkage?

Thanks!

Have you found out what was causing this? Mine just starting doing this yesterday. Only in 4th with a nice d-d-d-d-d-d when I give it gas.

Thanks

Try adjusting your rear shift rod coupler. It might be "off" a little, picking up the vibrations that you don't normally feel.

Also, worn shifter bushings will allow more vibrations to be felt.
