Recognize this Carrera DME Chip?
When I bought the car a San Diego area Porsche specialist went over the car fixing and inspecting this and that. He stated that he thought the car had been chipped but knew nothing more on the subject.
Curiosity got the best of me today and while cleaning some stuff I decided to dissect the DME, here's what I found.... Anybody recognize somebody's old school custom chip flashing? Paging Steve Wong, are you by chance running an economy stimulus sale this summer?????

My guess it's a copy of a stock chip. Written on it is Late 911.20 which would stand for the later 28 pin 87-89 Carrera with the 911.618.111.20 DME. Even if it were some kind of performance chip, which I doubt, it wouldn't be worth the sticker that's on top of it.
No stimulus sales ever, but you could check the classifieds - I see them pop up on occasion ![]()
