Block testing... how?
The car will undergo a top-end rebuild / examination since it developed a knocking sound and I cant identify where it is coming from. I found 1 pulled exhaust #1 stud as the only identification so far (nothing floating behind valve covers)
The (2.7s) motor was fully rebuild 7 months ago so I am not planning to split the case in this exercise. The questions is whether there is a way to test the block working without splitting the case? Would not want to put everything back together only to find out the problem was lower down. thanks for your input. |
i would think if its knockin, it isnt top end. start out thinking lower...
