Part number
Hi, could some one please tell me what this part number represents?
901/02 103 376 |
901/02 103 376 does not conform to the usual format for a Porsche part no.
901/02 is the engine type no. or transmission type no. for a 1967/68 911S. Where did you get the rest of the number(103 376) from? Andy '69 911E [This message has been edited by andyjboy (edited 01-23-2001).] |
it's supposed to be the number of a transmission some one has for sale. What source are you guy's using when you look up numbers such as this.
|
That may be the transmission (serial) number itself -- not the part number for the trans, which is just the first part (901/xx).

You can run factory numbers at ************* or buy and Parts and technical Reference catalog from Pelican Parts. It has all the parts listed with explosion diagrams

Bruce,
If that second 'grouping' is a serial number, it is only the last six digits of a seven-digit number that always began in 7 for 6-cylinder applications and 5 for 4-cylinder applications. And, all of this data comes from the factory 'spec books' and sometimes available in the service manuals. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
