Question 87 911 Cab Top Latch and Top Adjustment ??

I recently got my 87 Cab out of a two year storage and discovered the Left Top latch motor did not want to work. I managed to get it removed to test and lube (appears to work on the bench) and now the Top frame itself appears to be out of adjustment. It is hitting the cab bow(where the latch motors and micro switches mount) about 10MM overlap with the guide plates and the guide pins do not line up either.

I managed to get the left latch removed by rocking the top up and down with the dash switch but now the right latch motor may be "out of sync" as well.
Can anyone share the factory fore/aft top frame adjustment procedure as well as adjustment and diagnostics for the top latches and up/down motor and cables?

The drivers manual indicates in an emergency situation to loosen both rear frame nuts but I am hesitant to go much further.
