Do I need the cardboard under the dash

My '68 has an old peice of board under the dash.... Can I toss it out?

it's worth $$ to keep an early car original

it prevents things in the trunk from smacking into the instruments, hoses, blower, etc.

you might try to restore it

or can buy an Al with holes replacement - rennline makes them but they are not real light rel. to the original
