Battery fit
Hey all
i need to replace my battery. Old one is an Atlas, normal size battery. Bought a new Interstate MTP-93 today from Porsche shop. Brought home and it is about 3 inches longer than the old one. I checked the cross reference and it fits this application. Now I can not fit this back into place. The negative side hits the blower motor and windshield washer pump as i've nosed in the positive side. I've messed around for at least an hour and dont see how it will fit with pump there. Anyone here with suggestions, please respond. I checked back with the shop and they indicated that is why they charge 1/2 labor! Use a crowbar they said. Thanks John 79 930 |

John,
Just unplug and remove that pesky blower motor. It's one elec. plug and four or five sheet metal screws. It may be a little hassle, but you'll be really upset if you bust up the blower motor housing. |

One other thing. That washer pump is held on the body by a some rubber studs. It sort of slips off of the studs. Takes a little wrestling to get it to let go.

Thanks, I took everything out. Battery fit, but no room for washer pump. So I took the battery back and bought a smaller one.
