suspension bushing choice

So I have finished collecting the tools to replace my front susp. pan. Let's see, I've got the spot weld cutters, grinder, Mig welder, and plasma cutter(thanks for letting me borrow it Dad). that ought to do the trick. anyway...

I plan on replacing the suspension bushings while the front end is apart. I am having trouble deciding on the correct bushings. I have found Polyurethane, poly-graphite, and Neatrix. Here is my delima..

It sounds like the Neatrix are the ones to go with for the rear but I have not seen them for the front.

The polyurethane ones are much less expensive. Less money allows room for the turbo tie-rods.

I think the poly graphite will be a little harsh for the 'street'. I don't get to the track at all(yet).

Any suggestions on which ones to get? Any sources for the front Neatrix bushings? I searched the Achives and they were inconclusive. Thanks in advance for your help.

Jamie, I too have searched for all-around Neatrix without success.

The only ones I have seen are the ones for the rear in Automotion's catalog. Maybe we should call them and ask if they know where we can find the gammet of Neatrix?!

Let me know what you find. Sorry I didnt have any helpful info.
Nick.

The Neatrix bushings for the front were supposed to be on the market last August. Give Pelican a call. If they are available they will be able to get them. And if it is for the street and/or street and track, I would definatly go for the Neatrix.

Jamie,
You found a winner, man. Looks great, and the red seats look close to perfect. Noticed the driver's side was a little trashed - normal for Pcars. Check out http://www.carcareonline.com/ - for $62 you can get Surflex leather dye perfectly color-matched to your seats. This will sharpen your driver's seat easily. Lots of good info/howto on the site.
sounds like you are having too much fun already!

Thanks for the replies. I will give Pelican a call tonight about the bushings.

APKhaos- Thanks for the compliments on the car. I thought I found a good one. The seats are next on the list for restoration. The look better in the pictures than in person. Those bad targa skin and seals did bad things to the coverings. I am not sure if I want to tackle that myself or let someone else. Any one know a good seat restorer in NC, SC or VA?

I have had lots of fun fixing it up. It runs sooooo strong now. Not sure what was done to the engine but, wow! its not stock. The receipt for the engine was about $12K. it got full teardown, timeserts, webers, SSI's, cams, P/C set, shaved heads, for all I know it could be RS spec. It shows no signs of slowing as you pass 6500. Definately not a true 'T'. well off to search for front bushings.

I just spoke with Pelican and they say they are not available. I asked if they knew of a contact for the manufacturer and they did not.

Does anyone know who makes the Neatrix bushings? Are they US or imported? Those who have them installed on the rear springplates, Where there any markings on the package? Thanks

Just wonder if anybody has polygraphite bushings installed. How do they perform? Noisy? About time to do mine but don't know which one to use?
