ride height problem
 

I am unable to get ride height even on the front without changing the rear. I understand how they relate to each other diagonally.. My current settings are RR & LR = 25 1/4" to fender lip. Seems perfect. Now the RF is 26" and LF is 25 1/2" do you all see my problem? Can this be corrected as close as possible without messing with the rear spring plate? What do you think? 81'SC I don't believe the rear has been lowered. I do know that the spring plate angles are the same and at their lowest setting. HELP??

You have it as close as you can get it with your tape measure. Now is the time to get the car corner balanced. Car put on scales and the weight is balanced by jacking weight with the adjustments in the suspension. Our cars were not made on a CNC mill they were hand made and a little track bend here and there and things don't always come back to zero all of the time.

Randy I have a similar problem but am not sure what you mean by a little track bend.

I think he means that the unibody tubs may not be perfectly symetrical.

Track bend is a term that is/was used in the circle tack community. Back years ago when I worked on an Offy Midget sometimes you would see and old car at the track and someone would say "Bet that ol' girl has enough track bend to drive herself around the track". All this means is the suspension has settled in and maybe taken a lick or two somewhere down the line and is not as straight as the day she came off the layout table.
