911 Ref & Speed Sensors

I have been posting recently about a no start problem with my 87 911 Targa.

The next in the process of elimination was the changing of the reference and speed sensor.

I heard from two different sources about a BMW part that was a direct replacement to the Porsche only much cheaper.

911-606-215-01-M14 (OEM Style)
12-14-1-708-619-M14 (BMW style)

This may be the case with some 911’s but not mine. The harness connector is different enough and will not fit. Time to return these and by the OEM style.

Just a heads up.

can you cut wire and solder?

Sensor update

Please disregard my post. They are the same sensors. I got mixed up on how the wiring ran. The BMW sensors will work and are much cheaper. Doug
