Roll Bar Question
I have an 84 Cab and want to get a roll bar to participate in this spring's drivers ed programs. I would like to be able to remove it easily so the kids can sit in back. What should I look for in a roll bar? What brands have a good reputation? What prices should I expect. Can I buy a used bolt in bar, or is this cutting a corner. Thanks.

I would not go for the used roll bar if it is REALLY used. (as in roll-over) lol Sorry couldn't resist.
Seriously, A bolt in roll bar is probably what you are looking for. Hence being able to remove it to put the kids in back. As to the brand, I must defer. ------------------------ Paul 78SC Targa |

MRM! Go to das-sport.com. I purchased this bar last year for exactly the same reasons you are looking for one. The DAS bar is the only one I could find that you do not have to drill any mounting holes for. It is also PCA and SCCA approved! A bit pricy though compared to other bars on the market. Automotion justr started carrying them also.

Thanks for the suggestions. In order to be legal for PCA events do I need to buy one with a cross bar? Also, what should I look for to make sure the bar is easily installed and taken out? The Das Sport one certainly fits the convenience bill, but is a bit expensive for this year's budget.
