setting mixture, jumper which ports to make car ignore o2 sensor?
Hi guys,
I am setting my mixture on my carrera, and instead of unplugging the o2 sensor, i was wondering which test ports under the rain guard on the left side of the engine bay i could jump with a paper clip to have the motronic system ignore o2 sensor input? Thanks |
1 o'clock and 6 o'clock are the positions to jumper in order to remove the idle control valve from operation when adjusting the mixture. Is that what you're looking for?
|
No, not that one, i'll do the idle speed adjustment after. The one i need is to ignore the o2 sensor input as if it is disconnected. I read somewhere on here that it was possible but didn't read which ports to jump.

Near the bottom of this PDF file it shows the jumpers to use on the plug in the engine compartment: I understand this bypasses the O2 sensor from what Steve told me, maybe not? From SW site:

Those instructions are also for the idle speed.

Isn't it just as easy to unplug the connector?
|
Its a bosch universal connector with 3 seperate posilock connectors, with pressure weather proof plugs to keep water out but let air in, its supposedly a proper replacement for the crumbling stock motronic connector. It would be easier to just jump 2 socket terminals. FML.
