What do you like best...Cabrio, Targa, or Coupe?

Well? I like the Coupe the best...How about you?

There were 3 requirements when I was lookin for my 911..1)coupe with s/r
2) whaletail
3) had to be at least an SC with a 3.0
Well I got all 3 my favorites are the coupes.

For me, a Targa has the benefits of both a coupe and cabrio, for the street. The coupe provides the stiffest body for the track. The coupe may also be a better looking body style, just plain smoother. But for a daily driver, and a car to enjoy all weather in my vote go for the Targa, especially an SC Targa, or a 993 Targa if you can find one.
And that is my unbiased .02.

Could you repeat the question, a little louder--I can't hear with all this wind noise.

Yeah, coupes are real nice. Not too sure on the whale's- sometimes good, sometimes bad.

But I tell you what, aesthetic considerations aside for a second; there's nothing as much fun as forgetting about the day's chores, popping the lid and zooming off into the sun/set with that roar of wind spinning your head and mechanical calamity churning audibily from your wake.
Corners take on a whole new dimension when you can actually smell the trees you only just missed...

I really enjoy my Targa. The bar's gotta be brushed stainless though. Black is for wallflowers.

I'm gonna hafta say..............

SPEEDSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the turbo body of the '89 version, but I'd probably go with the '94 version with it's cleaner lines.

For max performance, you can't beat the stiffness of the coupe.

Targas are great all around cars, unless you live in Seattle. Hence my decision to convert mine to a.........

Cabriolet! By far the sexiest looking convertible ever with the top up. I don't know what it is but these things look so sexy and purposeful in a ragtop. No billowing at high speeds, amazingly little wind noise, (less than a Targa) and no leaks from the top. Gotta be careful with the plastic rear window though. I also miss the rear defrost of the Targa. But damn do I love triple digit speeds with the top down! (Closed course with professional stunt driver in controlled conditions and proper safety equipment of course.)

Coups are cool, but Targas rule! On Fridays when I leave work and pop the top the world becomes a better place.

Lemme see here - I have had a 914 (Targa), 74 Targa and now a 90 C2 Targa. Do you notice a pattern here ?

All together now !

Fellow Cabbies, please stop lurking and defend the honor...
There ain't nothing like a cab when the top is down, and hopefully soon, with a Carrera tail, and brand spankin' new interior carpet.

Do a search through the archives with the words "targa" and "leak". My coupe with the sunroof open and all the windows down gives me all the breeze and sun that I need, and when it rains it's as tight as a drum.

Coupes suck! (Somebody had to go against what they own, it was getting a little too predictable)

Even the Targa owners agree: All of Porshes' design efforts went into the coupe Windows down, sunroof open: puts a smile on my face. Okay - I was sort of joking on the first statement so don't flame me I love them all, Coupes, Targas', Cab's, Boxsters.

I love my Targa. I really do. There's a lot of wind noise and a few leaks (although I've got 'em licked for now), but there's nothing cooler than just taking the top off and going for a ride on a blazing hot evening to cool down.

My next 911 will be a coupe - but I hope I don't have to get rid of my Targa.
