Ready for 73 "RS Carrera" Cup racing?

Hi
We are currently seeking owners of real and replica 73 RS Carreras that would be interested in wheel to wheel racing. We will strictly follow the format of PCA, POC, and other vintage based organizations. For the first season we can run 4-6 events in California and Las Vegas. Only cars adhering to the correct 73 RS look will be considered. We are sanctioned by NASA and PRO Racing Series. At present we have 4 teams interested. We are open to some discussion on safety equipment, classifications (there are a few big motored "RS" out there- we know), length of races, driver qualifications and so on. This is for fun, not dollars and glory.
We have over 20 years experience in organizing and running races including the POC Cup, PRO Racing Series, and the south of the border "Grand Prix " street races. We would appreciate your input soon. We already have 4 confirmed track dates at Buttonwillow, Las Vegas, and Willow
Thank you
Dave Bouzaglou
NASA Special Events Director
PRO Racing Series President

Sounds fun. I'll even put my ducktail back on, if I have to.

Hi Dave, whats the deal with guys like Jack and I that have "RS" looking cars with much bigger motors than what would normally be expected.

Hey Jack, rstoll is a party pooper. There should be a class called I/RS for improved and one called S/RS for stock cars. Maybe we could play like the vintage roundy rounders do. Run what you brung but no trophy. This is all BS any way \i'm not going to Vagas and Souther CA racin' anyway, just havin fun.

Right Jack, you haven't been able to completely close that deck lid since the swap!

Some people find deals on 3.6 motors and do the swap. It is cheaper than building a race 2.7 with correct mfi. No problemo. In any case, this is for fun, not bucks and championships. The sight of 30 cars all Carrera striped and ducktailed zipping around the tracks is what this is about. You guys put on the show and have a good time. Ideas on classification, appearance, mechanical equipment - that's what we're after. So far some have suggested that we have "most authentic" "Most original" awards as well as participation awards for each event. Perhaps to be eligible for the random drawing of the sterling silver cup at the end of the season, all those that participate in the four races cleanly would be eligible. Those that broke driving conduct rules, cheated on mechanical set up (eg-running a race motor in the original class) would not be eligible. This way everyone has a chance to "win" the cup. Keep those ideas coming
Thanks
