My Drivers window fell into the door. Help.

I lowered the window and it kind of stuck. I kept my finger on the switch in the down position. Then the window just let go, falling into the door.
After stripping away the door panel I can see that the window has fallen out of the track at it's base.
The bottom track is leaning toward the drivers seat and the window is jammed in position. I can't seem to move up or down. The front and rear of the glass is sitting within the rubber guides.

Can anyone shed light on what to do next?

How do I free up the window? it doesn't seem to be blocked on top and yet it won't budge.

The bottom rail doesn't look corroded or rusted it just looks like the bond broke free on the rubber.

Thanks for the advice, Tom

I would: 1) take out the frame. This consists of allan bolts (and one 12 point) i like to pull off the exterior trim and interior trim (easy and easy install) once all bolts retracted trim is pulled, pull out frame from door. This should let you move the glass out the top (since it is not held in to the bottom rail. Now unbolt the 4 allan bolts that hold the motor control this will let you slide the bottom rail off the guides. (note you might have a motor-to-frame bolt inside that will let you do the same thing. You will have to now reset the glass and the rail. I have always had this done a the window co. They have adhesives and gaskets. Then reverse the steps to reinstall. I know this is just a thumb-nail but i hope it helps. The first time it happened to me i paid the "mobile glass guy" $85 start to finish. But...i have more time than money ..now. Wayne

The channel that the glass sits in can be removed from the door without taking any thing else out. That channel piece has most likely rusted under the rubber to the point that it will not clamp hard enough to keep the window in. I just replaced mine a few weeks ago for this very issue. The replacement I received had some rust which I treated with POR 15, relubed the rollers and feels like new.

I can't thank you guys enough.

I'll begin small and try to remove the lower rail first. If it doesn't work I'll then tackle the bigger job of pulling out the frame.

Thank you both for taking the time to share your knowledge.- Tom
