Wires not connected to master cylinder
Ok i am pulling out my pedal cluster and master cylinder from my 75 911s. I found that the wires attached to the master cylinder are not connected but just hanging there. I also found attached to the brake pedal a switch that looks newer with a bracket that disengages when the pedal is pushed. I assume the brake light switch in the master cylinder went bad years ago with the previose owner and they added a bracket and switch to the brake pedal instead of replacing the switch in the master cylinder. Is this normal to do, there isnt any thing else to control but the brake lights correct?

my 75 car had a brake light switch at the pedals. the wires at the MC handled the brake warning light..
