Good friends and a double to single 964 pulley upgrade....

So....life has been kinda "interesting" of late. I had a VERY heavy schedule this weekend and of course my normally uber reliable 964 powered SC decided to make a hicupp in my road of obtaining nirvana......

It began with a hollow noise that sounded like a resonance of some sort....WTF IS that.....my buddy Ingo (aka ISCHMITZ) was picked up from the airport and said WTF as well.....

Anyways, I went to do a Championship ASA softball tourney....I'm a scumbag umpire BTW, and the thing REALLY started to sing....finally figured it was the alternator bearing in the double pulley.

As some of you know, if one belt breaks, there is a potential for the fan to stop turning, but the alt will still give juice.....NO RED light, except for the oil temp taking a run for the Canadian border.....

Well there is a conversion fix.

I had to do the finals on Sunday....I borrowed Ingo's truck, made my commitment....AND HE PULLED MY alternator, fixed the problem and when I got home, it was ready for pick up......geeeez, words fail me......of course I have to pay for the parts and probably he'll not have a bar tab for quite sometime...but that's above and beyond the call......

All Hail, the Ingoman.....

Yepz.....been looking for the conversion part as I have to replace it...... I thought Pelican had it?

All I see on Google is Patrick Motor Sport, and I'd, blow Hitler before I'd use them .....and Instant G....who's OK, but pricey.....

Crap, gotta hit the sack, early AM meeting and I have to go out on the oil platforms by noon.....arrghhh....

Ingo is one of the good guys for sure and has helped me out of a mess or two in the past. He always seems to make the time if you need some help. Now if I can just get him to watch my kids!
