Question 915 shifter advice please

Will be racing a 915 boxed 3.3 Turbo later this year.
Am preparing this car to go.
The linkage mechanism on the 915 is very sloppy.
I have seen some parts (not Pelican sold) from FABCAR (shifter coupler), Robotek (gate defining kit), POrsche (short shifter kit).
These parts in combination "i am told" would radically improve the feel and action of the 915 shifter mechanism.
In total they are about $600.
Does any know of any cheaper way of "improving" the 915 shifter, or does anyone have any experience of these parts or parts like them.
Any help appreciated
Peter

Peter, I would be inclind to put (Pelican Parts) a coupler link in and replace the ball cup etc. then decide how you like the gearbox once everything is working as it should. Next you may want to try "sport" or solid engine and tranny mounts.

Question

As far as I know all the robotek does is spring-center the shifter in line with the 3/4 gates. After driving a whole bunch of cars the past few weeks I've decided I actually prefer the non-centering 915. Now if I could just get it into gear....
