Engine wont stop
Hello,
I have just changed the rear fuse box on an 1983 911 SC. When I re-connected the battery the battery & oil light were lit. The car starts without problem but the engine will not turn off. The ignition switch seems fine as the power windows don't operate unless the key is turned. When I replaced the fuse box I disconnected the relay, the wiring harness to the plate near the fuse box and the connector to the 'switch unit' I can't see anything wrong the connections. Thanking you in advance Stephen |
Stephen,
I suspect you may have the fuse block installed rotated 180°. The supply side of Fuse 1 and Fuse 2 have a bus on the back side of the fuse block. Best, Grady |
Hi Grady,
Thats really quick, thanks very much. Stephen |
Hi Grady,
The fuse box was a different part no and there was a bus down on all 3 fuses. Thanks again for your help. Stephen |
