Andre, what a fine specimen.

Did you by any chance pick it up in Switzerland, maybe five to six years ago. Saw one just like it, almost pulled the trigger, but I already had my own 75(6) Carrera 3.0.

What number is yours. 75 must be pretty low number like mine.

Samcam,
Sorry to hijack, but can you tell me the height of your car, ground to fenders?
Thx!

Is that the same one that is used in an ad found in Excellence?

^ I was thinking the same thing about the excellence add. it looks amazing, i just wonder if the handling is compromised at that low rear height?

It's about 23 3/4 in the rear and 24 1/2 in the front. The wheels/tires are 16x7 front & 16x8 rear with 205/55, 225/50 Potenzas. I had to remove the spacers because the rear tires were rubbing the fender lip. The front fenders are rolled.

Thanks! Funny you mention the Excellence car (Carrera 3.0 I think) because that's exactly how I wanted mine to look after I installed the new suspension. I wish I could blow that ad up to poster size. Unfortunately, this ride height means it pretty much sits on the bump stops all the time, so it's only looking like this until next week when it gets corner balanced and aligned.

Samcan,

You said you replaced the suspension. What suspension set up are you using (torsion bars, dampers, swaybars, alignment)? Are you rubbing on the front at all? What size tires are you running up front?

My new setup is from Elephant Racing; Von Street Level 2 Shocks and Strut inserts matched to 22/29 Sway-A-Way solid torsion bars, new OEM spring plate bushings. I also installed turbo tie rods and rack spacers.
The sway bars are original as far as I know. Right now the alignment numbers are way off since all we did was eyeball the ride height. I'm going in for CB & alignment tomorrow so I'll have numbers then. The front tires are OE size 205/55/16 Potenza RE760 on 7 inch Fuchs and the fenders are rolled. Zero rubbing.

Morefun, the car looks amazing. Who makes your bumpers? Are they Ruf replicas front and rear?
