Someone already posted a pic of my car, but here it is again because (a) I think it's just so damn beautiful and (b) here are some details:

15" Fuchs with 205/55R15 (F) and 225/50R15 (R). So it has smaller OD tires than normal and that cause it to be a bit lower.

Then the suspension was dumped to roughly ROW specs. It measures 24.5" front and rear fender-lip to ground.

I actually wish it were about .25" higher in the rear to give it a tad more rake but that's just me being anal.

Sorry for the intrusion but. Totaled 88 cab and had to have air here in FL. See "gone but not forgotten". Here is my stance. 2005 A6 with H&R sway bars, springs and Koni shocks. -2" from stock. Handels pretty well I have to say for a 4000lb sled.1st pic is before stance adjustment.

Ride height is only a part of determining stance. The other part is the rake angle or the sort of front down attitude the earlier 911's exhibit. If I remember correctly, the correct rake angle is about 1 degree. Someone can correct me if that's wrong.

Searching for "rake" or "rake angle" will probably produce some additional discussion.

Porsche never spec'd suspention the 911 set up to have "rake". Even if you look throught the 1972 Sports Purposes catalog that had all there race info includeing the 2.5 ST race motors and 914-GT goodies, they lowered the car equally and the chassis was set level to the ground.

However, the "euro" style look as populiarized by Bruce Anderson in his book on modifing Porsche's notes to put 1 deg of rake in the chassis. The owner of the shop I take my Porsches to says doing so adds bite to the front. Some think It can add an areo advandage at speed.

The chalange with the front is when lowered there is potental for bottoming, bump steer (rack spacers can keep this in check) and the angle of the front A arms in a poor position. Many trim there shock bump stop when set low.

Roll them how you like them.

However, the setting of 25.5" front and 25" rear (euro style) is a good starting point. If tracking the car and you have stock springs with close to 25" tall tires. Might not want to go much lower than this as you might reach the limit of your suspention travel on the track.

Must my two cents.

At least it wasn't a black audi wagon. Now that would have started some real problems...

This works to.

If that's your car
1) drop the nose a bit, if you need tire room shave the inner lips off
2) add spoilers f/r

I believe this can be considered a well placed stance for the street:

How about a silver audi wagon?

She was a fun, quick car with 340hp, lowered, sway bars, RS6 exhaust. Ran pretty well at the track too. Hauled the kids around quickly too.
