Here's one I see locally just about every day on my commute (it is on a Karmann Ghia convertible's license holder):
"SUV-free zone" [This message has been edited by Jdub (edited 01-30-2001).] |

How about.."I8A4RE"..? I'm gonna use "L8 APEX" for the 912 when I get it registered. I saw this one the other day--"HAUDI"--want to guess what make of car it was on? And this one of the back of a 'Vette-"ZR WON". I didn't get a chance to check under the hood for the LT5 motor, though. Last autocross I went to there was a husband/wife team with "HIS Z71" on the tow pickup and "HER Z28" on the race car-cute, I thought. Now, for the trivia question of the day-can anyone remember the plate on Milner's '33 Coupe in "American Graffiti"?
Not to get off the subject, but there's some great bumper stickers out there, too-I really like the "Visualize Whirled Peas" one-hilarious. Now, we've all seen the one that read "Practice random acts of kindess and senseless beauty", right? Well, I re-arranged the words a little and came up with this...."Kindly practice on random senseless beauties"...sounds a little kinky, huh? Or there's always the old favorite "Jesus is coming-look busy!". Still, I think my all-time favorite (so far) has to be "Hang up and DRIVE!" ------------------ Clay McGuill '66 912, '97 Jeep Cherokee www.geocities.com/the912guy |

I saw a bumper sticker once that said "Visualize using your turn signal" I also saw a VW bus with "Mean people suck" on one end of the rear bumper, and "Nice people swallow" on the other.

Well, for a Porsche, my favorite is our fellow member Rarlyl8- in fact, I'm thinking about stealing it if its available in Florida.

"Kindly practice on random senseless beauties" LOL!!!
That is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time, Clay!I like.. " Paris-Moscow-Tokyo Stanwood.... Only makes sense to locals of the greater Seattle area but insert any podunk town in your area and it works. Saw a plate on a customers car that read "NDCFRBL". Pretty clever. "My Kharma ran over my Dogma" I love that one. OK, I'm done. ------------------ Tyson Schmidt 72 911 Cabriolet |

Oh yeah, got one more. Saw a gorgeous black late eighties Cabriolet with the plates "DLUX VW". Kind of heads the insults off at the pass, doesn't it.

I had a licence plate frame made by one of those companies advertising on the Internet - "Politicians and SUVs Suck" - - I used it on the old 87 Bimmer daily driver and would get curious looks when I drove into WashDC. When I sold the car last year, I hung on to the frame. I was sorely tempted to put it on the SC during the Florida voting fiasco.

THX1138. Know that one in my sleep; it's the name of Lucas' first movie if I remember right. Dark vision of the future with Robert Duvall. Love American Graffiti. Highly recommended and you don't need to be an American from the '50s to appreciate it. Jw |

when i was young (10 years ago), I ordered German license plate which read :
UB6-IB9 It made the girls laugh. I still have it on my 911. It makes women laugh now even harder |

Mine came about from being a 1987 Turbo Buick lover (that was the past fellas - she is gone now) PORSCHE all the way!
A wealthy client and friend of mine had heard from other frineds that my car was fast - low 11.0's in the quarter mile but he didnt want to ride around in an American clunker to find out. Didnt take him long to get a Viper GTS and show up at drag strip. I beat him seven out of seven times buy a sizable margin, thus VIPRKLR! |
