Podium Shocks by Elephant racing
Hi,
I am looking at these shocks and they look like they would be great for my 1973 911. But there are no threads about them on this forum so I guess they are brand new. I think I would get the single adjustable rears, I have very similar ones now, built about 8 years ago by ShockTech which went out of business. Has anyone tried Podium Shocks yet? www.podiumshocks.com

I haven't tried them but Elephant racing products have a great reputation.
I especially liked there coil over systems for early cars.

I just ordered some parts from Elephant Racing about a week back and Chuck was saying he was going to be launching some new shock products so these must be what he was talking about.
Given the quality of the Elephant Racing products I have already I would think they are going to be very nice. They are supposed to come with a printout of the shock dyno reading so when you send them back in for a rebuild they'll know (and you'll know) how the shock should be performing and how it is currently performing. Of course, I have another year before I need to change shocks so I'll anxiously await people's review of the shocks.

I am happy with my other Elephant racing products (poly bronze bushings, etc) so I was excited when I found out about these. Maybe I will be the first to try them as I blew my clutch in a race on the 4th of July so while my car is at the shop we're going to do the torsion bars and shocks too.
They seem to be based on the Bilstein shocks which work great and are very reliable (unlike Koni) so I anticipate an excellent experience with these.

Chuck does offer custom valving for the various torsion / spring combinations that you can run.

They seem to be modified Bilstein shocks, like what I have in the rear now. The adjustable gas pressure and single or double adjustable rears are a great update to the excellent Bilstein platform.
Bilstein told me they would have an adjustable front several years ago but I don't think they ever released them.
