77 Master cyl replace

I have installed a new master cylinder and am unsure if the feed hoses from the resevoir just plug into the master cylinder or do the rubber sleeves pull out and go in over the hoses then plug in. I also dont seem to be able to build any pressure to the lines and bleeders on calipers.

I have the LF caliper off but no fluid leaks or is present at the banjo bolt.After MUCH pumping maybe I should look into pressure or vacuum bleeding.
