engine identification?
 
I am selling my parts car and the numbers on the engine are 911/03 and *6404883*. I was told it was a 1971 2.2. Let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks.

640 4*** were used on 1970 US 914/6, 2liter, 901/38

The engine type and engine numbers don't jive. The 911/03 is for a 1970 and 1971 MY 911T 2.2 but the engine number should be 610xxxx (1970) or 611xxxx (1971).
You might recheck what you have.
