Is there a preferred online I.D. resource for engine, trans, chassis numbers and info?
Hard to buy parts when you dont know what you have. Web good. Rather not buy the book. Eng: (star) 6198055 (star) Trans: 901.301.101.0R In a 67 911 coup. ![]() Thanks for the look. |

1969 T.
http://www.elferhelfer.com/fzident.htm# Its in German the numbers are the numbers in either language. The trans number looks like a casting number.

Engine type 901/19 from 6198001 to 6198184, so that is one of only 184 USA version 911T engines for Sportomatic transmission. See my thread here to find the build # on the case:
http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24913 This build # would be very useful for my research since I have no example of the type listed. The transmission # is located on the bottom rib under the differential. All serial #'s are stamped into the cases (recessed) as opposed to raised cast in numbers that are generally part #'s. I'd like to know more about your 1967, especially the VIN and the paint code stamped into the paint badge. I research the paint codes also.
