Suddenly, when I shift from 1st to 2nd, I'm occasionally get reverse. OUCH!!! WHAT AN UGLY SOUND. What should I look for in adjustment, lockout springs, etc?
Thanks in advance, Rob

I would check/replace your shifter bushings and adjust the shifter coupler which is accessed through the interior plate/cover on the floor in the backseat area.

Rob-
+1 on Tom's advice above. Plus you'll want to check the reverse lockout plate in your shifter for wear. When I replaced mine the wear was significant and a new one made a huge difference. Don't bother with the heavier duty weltmeister lockout spring kit. I did and now wish that I'd spent that money on something else. Cheers, Jim |
