Saw this on my local Craigslist.... no contact address given WHERE it should be given..only in the text body. Weird email name too...price is too incredible. I get first crack if it's OK ( LOL !) ----->

What does someone gain by doing this..... after a few exchanges it will become apparent at some point that this "deal" won't happen....what's the point. Who would transfer money beforehand?
EDIT...wrote this as previous response was being posted here.....by Vwilliams81

Your's truly flagged his ads in the half a dozen markets within 5 hours of me I look at. After I saw the same exact ad with location listing 5 different cities.
There's no way in the world it's not a scam. Craigslist is a useful tool but is VERY overpopulated with scam artists. Never do I list something for sale without getting at least a couple of people wanting to pay me twice as much for my item to pay for it some odd way..... My uncle recently called me about a 'Vette he was looking at in Tampa that had similar red alarm bells going off. Guy was desperate to sell but happened to be out in Seattle, bla bla bla, story gets long. Usually contact the seller and he may want you to pay some deposit or...or....or.... if they get anything at all out of you they are ahead.

I just love how obvious some of the scammers are:
Recent e mail i received after i posted WTB here. edited to its basic message " Dear sir, we have the item(s) in stock that you requested. Please send money via western union. Sorry no pay pal account as i had a problem with them" DOH! no kidding? caveat emptor !
