any motorCYCLE owners out there?
new thread!
Pilots, Bicycles, skiers.... Anybody out there owns a bike? What kind? Where do you ride? Ever go on a track? Isn't bike an addiction just like the 911??? I have 2 bikes personally. 1999 Ducati 748 (which I take to a track - Watkins Glenn) and 1994 Yamaha Virago (which I ride with my wife). But most of the time it's my Ducati that gets all of the road bugs splashed on... |

72 Triumph TR6-R Tiger 650 Euro model. I've owned it for 16 years and it still looks and runs like new. Don't get out on it much these days....work....kids....wife....P-car....you get the idea.

1985 Honda 750 Interceptor. Parked in the garage, couldn't justify paying $600 a year in insurance and only driving it 3 times ($200 a shot).
Right now the p-car is taking over, and that's OK. ted ------------------ 1980 911-SC Targa |

I've got a cherry '93 Suzuki GSX-R 750.
She ain't no damn Ducati but she's pretty fast. Losts of work done to her. Custom paint, polished frame, powdercoated rims, carbon fibre exhaust and fender, plus all of the normal mods. Only has 6000 miles on it and has never been dropped. ------------------ Leland Pate ___79 SC Targa |

I have a '95 Gpz 1100. It's no beauty but it goes like a bat out of hell, lots of low end torque.

79 Yahmaha 650 Special for that old British "Thump, Thump." Feels and looks vintage, but doesn't leak oil and starts on que every time. Also a 79 Suzuki 750 for revs and incredible acceleration (considering its age,) that I've had for over 15 years. They don't take up much space in the garage and offer unique motoring experiences for low bucks.

How about a 1965 Norton 750 G15CS. It's the only one on the block.

'93 Kaw. Concours (ZG1000)
'78 Honda CB750K4 Don't ride the Kaw much lately (back problems + hunched over riding position = pain), and the CB's in pieces pending a carb rebuild. Thinking to trade in for a slow, porky cruiser. Might as well ask you guys your opinion(s): Roadstar or Vulcan 1500 Classic FI? I thought about a Valkyrie (keeping a stable of F6s would be cool) but I don't have enough legroom on them. ------------------ blue '81 SC Targa |

Had motorcycles since I was 15, Suzuki's, Yamaha's (two stroke road bikes, no emmission laws in NZ) and for the last five years a CBR900RR.
I love riding, many people who have not riden a large road bike would have no comprehension of their performance. Porsches I am afraid pale in comparison. Ride smart and survive!! cheers Neil |

This is my '96 VFR750. The 911 lets me get my speed fix and take my family along, so I don't get to ride too much anymore. It's for sale (reluctantly). Every time I get on it, though, I change my mind about selling it.

Bobster,
Wish that I had never sold my R75 "toaster tank"... ride a R1100RS now. When I want to go faster than the bike, I get in a jet... Heres a list of the past bikes in my life: Lots of Rice grinders Huskvarna 450 single Triumph 441 "thumper" R50/5 R75/5 R100S R100RS R1100RS (first year model) Want a R75 or so with a hack... always liked Ducati's or Guzzi's as well... or a Bultaco 250 road race version.
