Few questions about my 76
 

I used to hear gurgling from the oil line to the oil cooler.. now I do not.. but the cooler seems hot when I touch it.. Is it possible a slight overfill condition would cause the gurgling or should I be checking the thermal switch that allows oil to flow?


Whats the concensus on backdating a middie these days? are middies with their beautiful accordion bumpers EVER going to be worth anything or is it safe to backdate? I dont want to do it and kick myself years later.. although I suppose I could save the parts.
