My brights are stuck on!
Is there a relay for this. Or is it the steering wheel lever. How do I diagnose this. Please help. 1987 911.Thanks to all.

I wouldn't be surprized if the contacts in your dimmer switch (steering column) are welded together by the current. they are thin and close together. You can access them with something very thin, like a fingernail file, after you have removed the plastic column cover. The steering wheel comes off in order to remove the plastic covers.

Hi Strep,
Yep your headlight dimmer swith is toast, have replace several for custimers. You can sometimes clean the terminals inside the switch but this will only buy you some time. Just replace the switch and be done with it. |
