Dash for '72 Targa

Hey everyone,

I just bought a '72 T Targa, and I'm sorting through the good, the bad, and the ugly. As it turns out--and to no surprise--the dash falls into the ugly category.

Any ideas on where to buy a serviceable replacement? It doesn't need to be perfect, and even one of the repro versions with the integrated speaker hole area will work.

Thanks!

I would highly recommend having a local upholsterer work on it. You can have the door caps done at the same time in the same material and you can choose exactly what you want. For me it was much cheaper too and the leather is gorgeous.

Keep in mind you need to remove the windshield to remove/refurb the dash properly.

There is a lot of info on dashes over on the Early S forum. At one time OEM replacement dashes were not fitting properly. I have no idea if that is still the case. But a cheaper option is send it to WWW.JUSTDASHES.COM and let them rebuild it. Lead times could be lengthy, but you'll know it fits when you get it back

How about the 928 leather shop.
Does anyone have experience with them?
