Trip to the track............

After driving performance cars and autocrossing for forty years or so, my son and I are going to the Skip Barber one day driving school at Laguna Seca in July. The plan is to catch a plane out of Savannah early Monday, fly to S.F. , rent a car and play tourist for a day and a half. The school is on Wednesday and fly home on Thursday. Might not need the plane coming home after a day on the track in a variety of h/p cars! I'll post some pictures after the trip.

Did a 3 day race school years back and had a blast. After driving these spec cars, my 911 felt very heavy and cumbersome! Made me a much better driver at DE's. Have fun.

Enjoy the course. I used to do them at Limerock CT when I was working, would send my sales people with customers, great educational tool and gets people focused on safe driving techniques. Great instructors.

Even got my boss, El Presidente to attend and he drove one of the larger frame formula cars, he could not fit into the original one they brought out. He has the pear body style and thank heavens they had cars for fat a$$e$. Pretty funny watching him shoehorn his fat can into the car!

Back from the track...............

We just got home from the Skip Barber performance driving school at Laguna Seca raceway. The school lasted from about 8:00 till about 6:00 in the evening. What a blast! Also very educational! Here are some pics...........
In the RX8 on the (wet) skidpad !

In a 911 on the autocross track !

Lotus Exige used during the day !

Getting ready to go out on the track !!

Great fun, very educational and lots of sunshine/sunburn! We even got to spend a couple of days sightseeing in San Franciso and in Monterey. Worth every nickel!
