Calling all Members that live near Oregon (Corvallis or Eugene)

I am a new member and been on the hunt for a prestine condition G50 911. I think I have found one in OR, but live in NJ. Would anyone that lives in the area mind stopping by the owners house and take a look at it for me. Also, I am struggling to find a place that is relatively close by the owners house that can do a PPI.

Here are the details of the car:

1987 911
20K orig miles
Guards red with Champange interior
LSD
Updated A/C with R134

oregon ppi

I dont know of anyone that can do a PPI in that area (unless you can get Emory Motorsports in McMinnville to do it (971) 241-7017.Rothsport in Tualatin is a good shop (503) 885-9626 they are in the portland area. There are other shops in Portland as well, which is where I think you will need to take it to get a proper Porsche PPI.

Just answered your PM...sorry, but not only am I done with P-cars, I really know nothing about the '87 models...wouldn't have a clue what I was looking at. IF the seller is sincere, he shouldn't mind driving to Portland & back...I'd suggest Motorsports International, but other shops okay as well. May be his reason for selling...far as I know, there are no good Porsche service places in Corvallis. The 180 mile round trips to Portland was one of the more minor reasons, but one of the reasons, I left the fold.

Gammer (Rothsport) isn't really keen on doing PPI's...it's race season now, and he's probably swamped.
Wes @ Motorsports should be a well qualified wrench to do a PPI on this year car. 503-643-2656. If you go there, ask to have Wes do the PPI.

FWIW, cars are generally rust free in Oregon...

Thanks everyone, I spoke with Rod at Emory Motorsports and he hooked me up with one of his guys who lives new Carvallis. His guy is going to the home of the owner and will do a PPI right at the owners house tomorrow.

Thanks for the update...I woke this morning feeling guilty. May it be the car of your dreams. Corvallis is a University town. More Prius cars there than Porsches...

well, it's an Ag. school -- so many of the Priuses have cow skulls on the front bumper

I is a proud alumni of Orygun State
