Torsion Plate refinish

I bought a set of adjustable SC torsion plates for my 72 911s. What is the best way to refinish them before putting netrix bushings and fitting them to the car. I am thinking of taking them apart then grit blasting and finish with a quality anti rust paint (Hammerite in the UK). Thanks for any help.

Clay,
If you take the rubber off before putting the neatrix bushings, you can get them yellow zinc chromate plated again. They will get the factory appearance again. Plus it lasts OK.
Paint in that location will have to be real strong. Maybe powder coating.
