Braided Ground or Not & Epoxy Type

In the process of buying some new parts as I am in reassembly mode now. I'm thinking about going without the braids on the plug wires to kind of clean things up. What are the pro's & cons?

Also, Is there a special epoxy to use on the back of the cam covers. During the cleaning process some was removed and I thought I saw it somewhere in an earlier post but I've had no luck finding it.
Thanks.

The ss braid was introduced to prevent air box explosions which at one time were thought to be caused by cross firing plugs. You don't need them, they are IMO nice looking though. Just get a good quality ss conductor with oem ends, Silicone covers and f/g braiding and spiral wrapped conductors are a plus.
