2.7 Clyinders

Hi, I have two 911/ 2.7 engines and need to make one.
Can I use 4) Mahle Cylinder/ Pistion sets and 2) Alusil?

Oh man, you need to buy Wayne's book and read it. first off, Mahle makes Nikasil and Alusil cylinders. the pistons are different between cylinder types. Second off you can use different cylinders from different engines assuming they are the same type cylinder, assuming the heights are the same. Some measure them and some have them machined to the same height, and some use the height group markings. If memory serves me there are two different height groups. But if you don't know these basic things you have a LOT of reading to do before you waste a bunch of money on a money pit 2.7. Also, there is a rebuilding forum that these questions belong in. If you don't do the rebuild properly you will have spent money for no reason because it will fail on you. Most folks use Nikasil cylinders in their rebuild, Alusils have problems seating the rings, which there is a huge debate on here.
