Porsche Crest From mph to kmh - VDO faceplate

Hi - I have a problem here... I need to convert a black VDO speedo faceplate for a 911E from 1969 from mph to kmh but I cant find a decent replacement faceplate to a fair price... anyone who can help Thanks Søren

You might try sending it to a company that provides this service. I'd suggest North Hollywood Speedometer or Palo Alto Speedometer, both of which are in California.

Your odometer would still be in miles with just a faceplate, if that matters...

Either of the companies that I listed can change the internal gearing for the odometer, if he wants.

If you go that route you can also do anything you want with your guage face like a Martini logo or Heuer Chronograph logo, recalibrate the range etc.

You get used to reading the dial when driving and checking the odometer when the car is stopped.
The PO changed from mph to kph because he got caught speeding too often.

Where are you based first of all. I know a place in Hamburg that do it. They repaired mine but do conversions as well.

There's a guy in Denmark that can produce stickers for the faceplate for only 120 dkr. ($23)
